COVID-19 travel information

For vaccinated travellers, there has never been a better time to explore Australia's Northern Territory. Follow the below steps when organising your trip.

Step 1

Before travelling to Australia you need to complete the Australia Travel Declaration (ATD). It should be done at least 72 hours before your international flight. Before arriving in the NT complete your border entry form and download the G2G Now app.

Step 2

If arriving directly from an international port have a PCR test 72 hours before you arrive.

Step 3

Meet a Territorian on arrival and show them your negative PCR test and border entry form.

All visitors also need to undertake a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within two hours of arrival to the Northern Territory and complete the Rapid Antigen declaration form. Rapid Antigen Tests will be given on arrival when entering via air or can be collected from a Distribution Centre. More information can be found at the RAT testing website.

Step 4

Sit back, relax and enjoy an NT summer holiday. Watch an epic thunderstorm in Darwin, cruise wetlands bursting with wildlife in Kakadu, see a horse whisperer in Katherine, swim in a waterhole in Alice Springs or watch the sunset over Uluru.

Step 5 & 6

Take a short break from your vacation for a Rapid Antigen Test in the first 72 hours and on day 6 of your holiday. Follow the steps outlined in the testing regime.

Step 7

Let the good times roll, enjoy your holiday and post your photos online using #NTaustralia
