An important wildlife refuge

If you’re lucky you’ll spot some of the diverse wildlife that lives in the park, including the black-footed rock wallaby, emu and the Australian Bustard, an unusual ground bird called a ‘bush turkey’ by Aboriginal people.

Hundreds of waterbirds flock here to the sheltered gorges and permanent waterholes that are also full of several species of fish.
