The ancient red rock formations of #KataTjuta (#TheOlgas) rise from the dusty land to make an incredible sight in Central Australia. From a distance it may look like one single rock, but it's actually a group of 36 domes spread over an area of 20 kilometres. Kata Tjuta is a Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal word meaning "many heads". @jasoncharleshill recently "gained a whole new perspective on how magical this land is" on a sunset scenic helicopter flight - he took in this spectacular sight, along with #Uluru, located only 30 kilometres away.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Jason! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

The early bird gets the stunning morning light ✨ Nitmiluk (#Katherine) Gorge, the jewel of Nitmiluk National Park, brings life to the region through a series of waterways home to ancient rock art sites, seasonal swimming spots and a wide diversity of local wildlife. For spectacular views at sunrise or sunset, take the Baruwei loop walk and stop at the lookout - you might even see a tour boat cruise past!  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @jasoncharleshill. #SeeAustralia #NitmilukNT #TourismTopEnd

Hey #Uluru 👋 Most people grow up seeing this iconic monolith in photos or on TV, rising seemingly out of nowhere, glowing red, purple and orange at sunrise or sunset, or drenched with torrents of water during storms. But, it’s only up close that you see the details and can really appreciate its sheer size 🙏 This is where the Base Walk comes in 👉 the 10.6km loop quite literally takes you right around the base of Uluru! You can choose to do the whole walk or just a couple of sections depending on your level of fitness, the weather or how much time you have. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @erinoutdoors! #SeeAustralia #ExploreUluru #RedCentreNT

From where you'd rather be this #weekend... 💦 This berry nice swimming hole is only 60 kilometres from #Darwin's CBD, can you believe it?! Berry Springs Nature Park is a popular spot for a dip with several pools and a small waterfall fed by crystal clear spring water, all surrounded by natural bushland. With walking trails and a picnic area, it's the ultimate place to get your nature fix!  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @danandmoore 👍 #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

The balancing act that took 1.5 billion years to perfect 🙌 We're talking about the #DevilsMarbles (#KarluKarlu) of course! These granite boulders, all varying in size, are scattered across a valley about an hour south of #TennantCreek. You'll find yourself doing a double take as you make your way along the Stuart Highway and glimpse these giant marbles seemingly defying gravity. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @parky.au!  #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

Looking for a new adventure that'll see you exploring World-Heritage listed monsoon forest, towering stone escarpments and inviting plunge pools? Jim Jim Falls in #Kakadu National Park has got you sorted! This well known part of the park, famous for its astonishing cliffs and thundering waterfalls, can be reached by a 2 kilometre return walking trail. While the track is graded as moderately difficult and involves scrambling over large boulders in some parts, you're rewarded with a deep plunge pool and family-friendly beach pool when you get there, all surrounded by dramatic 200 metre cliffs. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @auscheftraveler! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Mesmerising abstract painting or Red Centre salt lake? 🤔 @jasoncharleshill recently captured this incredible aerial shot of the glistening white salt flats less than 100 kilometres from #Uluru. @CurtinSprings, a privately owned cattle station, offer guided walking tours on their property including the salt lakes, #MountConner and at full moon. The combination of ancient and vast salt lakes, different land types each with their unique features and textures, and the ever present moods of the grand Mount Conner, are sure to leave you with a full camera roll 🙌 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Jason! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

We all want to go there, but most have no idea where to start! You'll find #EastArnhemLand on the far northeastern tip of the NT mainland, accessible via a short flight from #Darwin or the Central Arnhem Road. Spectacular coastal landforms with dazzling white sand beaches, combined with a strong Aboriginal cultural presence, define the paradise that is the Gove Peninsula. And, good news, everything is easily reachable from the regional centre, #Nhulunbuy, a town of 3500 people.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @kyle_hunter! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Floating is a full-time job at Bitter Springs 💦 As you can see, the NT's not all red sand and arid landscapes! You'll find this spring-fed thermal pool hidden amongst tropical woodlands in Elsey National Park just outside the small town of #Mataranka. Discovered by surveyors for the Overland Telegraph Line in the late 1800's, the park was made famous in Jeannie Gunn's popular novel 'We of the Never Never'. Be sure to bring some goggles and a swimming noodle - the soft current will gently take you a hundred metres or so downstream before you reach a ladder, hop out and do it all again! Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @_aswewander 👍 #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd
