Few know the Territory’s screen scene like Shari. Growing up in Darwin gave her a love for the NT and its stories. From starring in Top End Wedding to a cameo in Top End Bub, she’s now behind the camera directing the new series. Discover what went into bringing this Territory story to life.

Tiwi Islands

North of Darwin you'll find the Tiwi Islands famed for their rich culture, world-class art, and breathtaking coastal landscapes. Known for their warm hospitality and vibrant community spirit, the islands also served as one of the stunning backdrops for Top End Bub, bringing their natural beauty and cultural heart to the screen. You can experience the Tiwi Islands by joining a Tiwi By Design tour with SeaLink, or time your visit for the annual Tiwi Islands Football Grand Final, an iconic community event unlike anything else in Australia.

Litchfield National Park

Cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear rock pools and rugged escarpments make Litchfield one of the Territory’s most iconic landscapes. Just a 90-minute drive from Darwin, it delivers drama and beauty on screen in equal measure, but for locals like Shari it’s far more personal. Growing up, she spent countless weekends here with Buley Rockhole always her favourite spot to swim and unwind.

Mindil Beach Sunset Markets

Only minutes from Darwin’s city centre, the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets capture the Territory’s energy at its best. With food stalls, live music and the iconic view of the sun dropping into the Arafura Sea, it’s a place where locals and visitors come together. Shari has always loved the buzz of Mindil and seeing it on screen highlights the rich market culture of the Top End.
