A visit to the Top End isn’t complete without a visit to Litchfield National Park where you can plunge into refreshing waterholes or luxuriate under spring-fed waterfalls.

Take your time exploring the Greater Litchfield Loop to discover its incredible landscapes, cascading waterfalls and tropical walking trails. For a rewarding detour, stop in at Dundee Beach for world-class fishing and great camping options before heading back to Darwin.

Swimming

There’s a reason why Litchfield is known as the ultimate natural playground. Home to some of the best swimming spots in the Territory, make sure to visit Florence Falls, Buley Rockhole and Wangi Falls or venture further into the Park to uncover more incredible swimming spots and walking trails on offer.

Wildlife

Just a 45-minute drive south of Darwin is the acclaimed Territory Wildlife Park, where you can get a close-up look at local wildlife in their natural habitats, while walking through tree top aviaries. Remember to check out the interactive presentations, held by the Park’s rangers, including the Birds of Prey display.
